Jeep has unveiled its inaugural electric SUV, the Wagoneer S, in the United States. Built upon the innovative STLA-Large platform, the vehicle boasts a standard 4xe capability tailored for versatile all-terrain management. The STLA-Large platform, characterized as highly adaptable and designed for battery electric vehicles (BEVs), caters to cars, crossovers, and SUVs.
Featuring 400V and 800V electric architectures, the platform supports front-, rear-, and four-wheel-drive powertrains, showcasing its versatility. Despite its BEV focus, the STLA-Large platform is also capable of integrating a hybrid powertrain. Specifics regarding the Wagoneer S’s battery remain undisclosed, but the STLA-Large platform offers battery sizes ranging from 85kWh to 118kWh.
Increased Cargo Capacity.
Take advantage of expansive storage. Compared to the Grand Wagoneer, the Grand Wagoneer L model increases its cargo volume capacity with an extra 5 inches in the rear overhang.
In terms of performance, the Wagoneer S harnesses power from a dual electric motor setup, generating an impressive 592bhp (600hp). This robust capability propels the electric SUV from a standstill to 97km/h in approximately 3.5 seconds, as claimed by the company.
The electric Jeep boasts a distinctive exterior featuring a robust, boxy silhouette, a seven-slot chrome grille illuminated with LEDs, a full-width LED bar both at the front and rear, trapezoidal wheel arches, and LED fog lamps and taillamps.
